Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Dialogue Management Expert

German Autolabs makes driving safer and smarter. How we do it? By building a unique product in the connected car space. As an NLP/Dialogue Management Expert, you will be responsible for creating a completely new experience for the car. You will be working with a cross-functional team of NLP specialists, developers, designers and product managers to develop an amazing product in the AI assistants space.

• Develop dialogue management components
• Extend our data driven, quantitative quality measurement system
• Organize annotations, process logs and create different metrics to evaluate our spoken dialogue system
• Work closely with the UX team on creating the best conversation models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• PhD or MSc degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or a related field
• Experience in NLP and its tools for different tasks
• Experience with spoken dialogue systems or adaptive user interfaces
• Experience with statistical dialogue systems, and reinforcement learning in particular
• Experience with implementing dialogue state update components
• Experience in building  NLP products used by thousands or millions of users
• Proven experience with Python, C++ and optionally Java
• Be self-motivated to explore new technologies and solutions
• Communicative and not afraid to state your opinion on anything - we want you to be part of our team
• Good to have: experience using speech recognition and speech synthesis systems, in particular in a mixed language context
• Experience with crowdsourcing or other techniques to rapidly generate dialogue data is a plus
